Laura of Shout out Loud and Lisa from Synergy eTherapy are teaming up again to hold the 3rd Annual ‘Shout Out Loud’ suicide prevention and resource awareness charity event.  Sunday, September 13th, 2020 at the ROC (SLP REC Center, fully covered, rain free, outdoor venue) in St. Louis Park, MN.

Our main goal with Shout Out Loud is to normalize the conversation about suicide prevention in our community and encourage participation in local wellness resources.

The net proceeds this year will go to a local 501c3 non-profit, TreeHouse whose mission is to end hopelessness in teens!

Our event will be family-friendly with a focus on mental and physical wellness activities for all ages to enjoy. Think of a backyard carnival with local bands, food trucks, cold drinks and amazing raffle prizes.  We will also have several other areas at the event geared towards creative and expressive arts like music, karate, arts & crafts and much more.

In case you haven’t heard our story, in March of 2014, Laura, a local advocate and former owner of a Minneapolis photography company, Tiny Acorn Portraits, lost her brother Aaron to suicide.  He was a talented musician who was well-known in the Minneapolis music community. Laura made it her mission to honor his memory by helping others in similar situations get the help and support they deserve.  Dr. Lisa started a tele-mental health group therapy practice, Synergy eTherapy, with the mission to increase access to high-quality mental health treatment by phone or video from the comfort of a patient’s home.  Synergy eTherapy can reach anyone in MN who can’t (or won’t) go to a clinic for treatment.

2020 Event Proceeds Will Benefit:

TreeHouse has many programs for teens including: Support Groups and Mentoring. “We want to ensure that our programs are effective and successful. That’s why we’ve established a set of three primary goals as a way to measure success: teens establishing internal, foundational beliefs and skills; showing external expressions of those beliefs and skills; and the positive impact that will bring to a community.”
